Jazzin' Up the Mall
Allans Music’s Jazzin’ Up the Mall has become a major musical event, showcasing school music ensembles from all over Queensland and this year was no exception. Over 900 students participated in this traffic stopping event where the audience was delighted with some brilliant performances from every school. Event organiser, Tina Inns, reported that the standard of musical talent was incredibly high, and selecting the winners of each category was extremely difficult.
Congratulations to all the staff and students who put an enormous amount of effort into making this event outstanding. We look forward to seeing you again next year.

MUSIC FEST - Friday 8 October to Tuesday 2 November 2010
Music Fest is Queensland’s Premier School Band Festival. Music Fest provides the opportunity for schools from all over Queensland to compete in the public arena in a number of categories:
- Concert Bands
- Jazz Ensembles
- String Ensembles
- Orchestras
- Choirs
Held throughout October at Iona College, Calamvale Community College and Ferny Grove SHS Ralph Took Auditorium, Music Fest employs eminent music educators as adjudicators for all categories.
